eMarketer, Inc. estimates that US online ad spending in the classifieds category hit $3 billion USD in 2011.

According to the Internet Advertising Revenue Report, the fees that advertisers in the United States pay internet companies to list specific products or services through a classifieds format (e.g., online job boards and employment listings, real estate listings, automotive listings, auction-based listings, yellow pages) hit $2.6 billion in 2011.

vBulletin classifieds mod arrives soon

After three months of development, I am pleased to report that our vBulletin classifieds plugin is almost here. We are very excited to get this release out to our beta customers who have provided a lot of great input and insights into this first release.

The free vBulletin classifieds mod provides payment processing for sellers. Enthusify retains a competitive performance fee when an item sells. Enthusify splits that performance fee with the forum owner.
